About Me

Hi, I'm Ellie. I'm a trainee psychotherapist completing an MSc in Person-Centred & Experiential Psychotherapy, with three years of clinical experience. I am a registered member of the UKCP and continue to develop my practice through ongoing training and supervision.Seeking therapy can feel like an uncertain step. You may be feeling anxious or overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or finding it hard to understand why you feel the way you do. Perhaps you've become caught up in expectations of who you feel you should be, and are unsure what you actually want or need. Or perhaps you have a sense that something is missing, without knowing exactly what it is.You don't need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. I offer a dedicated, safe and professional space where we can slow down, become curious about your experience, and begin to make sense of what is happening for you.My clinical experience has predominantly been within a charity providing therapy for women, alongside my wider training and practice as a person-centred psychotherapist.

How I work

I believe that you are the expert on your own experience. Rather than arriving with answers about what you should do or how you should change, I offer a space where we can explore your experience together. Our work is grounded in warmth, honesty and mutual respect. I will be an active participant in our relationship, reflecting on what I notice and inviting us to explore what emerges, while respecting your pace and what feels right for you.Together, we can explore what you're experiencing, understand patterns and how they may have developed over time, and make sense of experiences that have shaped you. This can create space for greater self-understanding, agency and a stronger connection with yourself.Therapy is open-ended. You may find that a few sessions give you the space you need, or you may choose to explore more deeply over a longer period of time.

What can we explore?

People come to therapy for many different reasons, and you don't need to have a particular diagnosis or a clearly defined problem to seek support. We might explore experiences such as:

  • Anxiety, stress or feeling overwhelmed

  • Low self-esteem or self-worth

  • Body image and your relationship with yourself

  • Burnout and feeling under pressure

  • Depression or feeling disconnected

  • Relationships and family difficulties

  • Life transitions and periods of uncertainty

  • Experiences of trauma or abuse

  • Questions around identity, expectations and belonging

  • Neurodivergence and making sense of your experiences

  • Women's issues and experiences

  • LGBTQ+ and gender-related experiences

Sometimes there isn't a clear issue at all — just a sense that something feels difficult, different or not quite right. That's enough reason to explore what you're experiencing.

Is therapy right for me?

You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, or have a clear idea of what you want to achieve from therapy. You might simply feel that something isn't quite right, that you're struggling to understand yourself, or that you've become disconnected from what you want and need.Therapy can offer space to slow things down and explore these experiences with someone who is there to listen, understand and work alongside you.I want therapy to feel like a space that is genuinely yours — somewhere you can feel understood, cared about and respected. If something here resonates with you, you're welcome to get in touch and explore whether we might be a good fit.
